## Communication Channels

### Matrix/Element Chat

The TU Clausthal provides a Matrix/Element chat service for internal communication:

* **Web client**: [element.tu-clausthal.de](https://element.tu-clausthal.de) (no installation required)
* **Login**: Use your RZ credentials (RZ-Kennung)
* **End-to-end encryption**: Enabled by default for direct messages. Security keys are generated on first login -- store them safely or set up a security phrase for server-side backup.
* **Native clients**: Available for [Windows](https://element.io/download), [macOS](https://element.io/download), [Android](https://element.io/download), and [iOS](https://element.io/download)

### Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is available to all TU Clausthal members:

* **License**: Microsoft 365 license is auto-assigned for staff; students must activate it manually (may take up to 2 hours)
* **Login**: Use your RZ-Kennung followed by `@tu-clausthal.de`

### SWZ Cluster Coordination (TUChat)

A private channel in TUChat is available for SWZ cluster users to coordinate resource usage and exchange information about the compute nodes.
